Description

Robert Half is looking for an organized Network/ Systems Administrator to join the efforts of a prominent firm. To excel in this position, you should be a results-oriented problem solver that can effectively perform system administration duties LAN/WAN troubleshooting and hardware/software support. Provide network and end-user support to ensure accessibility to system applications and network devices.

Cisco Core

Wireless access points
Maintain and manage Data Center infrastructure that includes router, core switches, firewalls, and WAN connectivity.
configure, monitor, and troubleshoot specialized network equipment; design, procure and monitor internet, closet switches, network backbone, and remote campus transport and connectivity.
Work with vendors on all network projects including installation of network drops, network connectivity, and other network equipment installation.
Administer and manage network access, IP addresses, and bandwidth distribution.

Systems Admin

Microsoft environment
Host servers/cloud servers
VMware virtual machines
VEAM backup
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and operation of computer systems, network hosts and physical servers, virtualization, SANs, DC, DHCP, DNS, and RDP servers
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
Manage daily operations of the server infrastructure to include performance monitoring, configuration and performance resolution; determine need for new and replacement hardware; manage data center inventory.
Manage Active Directory and user account creation/management process.

Requirements

- Prior experience in production and on-call environments

- Cisco Routers experience

- Wide ranging experience with VMware

- Well-founded grasp of Backup Technologies

- Microsoft experience

- Proven knowledge of Active Directory

- Command of Cisco Technologies

- Practical knowledge of design

- Quality experience with Firewall Technologies

- General familiarity with configuration management

- Deep understanding of Firewall Technologies

- Microsoft Access experience

- Highly capable of troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing issues

- Knowledgeable of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

- 5+ years relevant experience
