Part Time Landscape Contractor Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Part-Time Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks, trailers, and small engines used daily in a Landscape Contractor environment. This position is crucial in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

-Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and make repairs on a fleet of trucks, trailers, zero turn mowers, spray rigs, and other equipment.

-Keep detailed records of maintenance performed and parts used.

-Maintain a clean and organized Shop and Yard, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored

-Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

-Communicate effectively with the management team regarding the status of vehicles and equipment.

-Possible plowing work in the winter if interested.

-Trucks are mostly Ram Trucks 2019-2023. Mowers are mostly Scag and Exmark.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on both truck and trailer maintenance and small engine repair.

-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

-Experience with hydraulics preferred.

-Welding and light fabrication experience.

-Ability to research mechanical issues on your own.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

-Valid driver’s license.

-High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive or small engine repair is a plus.

-Plowing experience, if interested.

Work Schedule:

Flexible part-time hours, typically 15-25 hours per week, based on need.
