Minnesota, Minneapolis / st paul, 55401 Minneapolis / st paul USAJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring reliable and efficient network performance by collaborating with senior engineers on troubleshooting, configuration, and administration tasks. This position also involves the configuration and deployment of network equipment to remote locations.This is a full-time role which will be based in St. Paul, MN. Target pay is up to $110,000.Essential Job Duties:Monitor and maintain network performance through ongoing analysis and capacity planning.Enhance network security by establishing, enforcing, and monitoring access policies.Coordinate with third-party service providers to manage and ensure the quality of services.Configure, install, and maintain Cisco switches, access points, and Barracuda firewalls.Support ongoing ISP aggregation projects.Assist with the integration of newly onboarded branches.Independently manage network infrastructure rollouts.Provide on-call support for infrastructure and network outages.Autonomously configure network equipment.Document network IP schemes and topologies for each branch using Visio and Excel.Manage the asset lifecycle by proactively identifying and replacing end-of-life infrastructure.Monitor and address network outages promptly.Support the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network hardware and software.Conduct routine network maintenance, including software upgrades and patch management.Assist in implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.Respond to network incidents and provide Level 2 support, escalating issues to senior engineers when necessary.Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes, while conducting IP address audits.Collaborate with senior network engineers on network enhancements and improvements.Contribute to network-related projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and successfully.Assist in training and mentoring support staff.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications: The qualifications listed below represent the necessary elements to perform the job successfully. In some cases, an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.Education, Training, Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of network administration experience.Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or similar are a plus.Preferred: Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.Systems and Software Skills:Proficiency in Cisco Catalyst IOS, Aruba, Site-to-Site tunnels, Barracuda Firewall, L3 experience, Meraki APs, Radius Authentication, Cat5e, and Cat6 termination.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
