Quality Inspector Needed

LH-Machining is looking for a full-time QA Inspector.

Pay is dependent on experience.

Job Description/Requirements:

Candidate will be responsible for inspection of machined parts, ensuring that design specifications are met as described below:

Interpret blueprints, work orders, and other documentation to determine acceptance or rejection standards.

Perform visual and dimensional inspection of first articles, final product, and tooling, utilizing CMM (PC DMIS preferred), and other precision measuring instruments.

Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare reports.

Route inspected parts to appropriate destination.

Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.

Document and communicate out of tolerance conditions.

Supports and helps to implement new ideas.

Understanding of machining processes to reveal possible problems.

Requires excellent reasoning skills, and the ability to analyze statistical data to aid in problem-solving.

Perform inspections, tests, and audits on products, processes and systems to ensure compliance to Quality and ISO standards.

Develop and implement quality systems, procedures, visual aids, mistake-proofing, and best practices.

In addition to other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Experience using CMM (PC DMIS preferred) for inspection.

Must have mature work habits, excellent communication, and people skills.

Requires exceptional computer skills, and experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of shop practices and operations
