Early Childhood School Nurse

Our Woodbury school is seeking a school nurse. No evenings, weekends or holidays are required! Shifts are 8 hours scheduled between the hours of 7am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. Our perfect candidate is a natural caregiver and leader who enjoys interacting with babies, young children, and other adults. This opportunity is ideal for individuals at the start or nearing the end of their nursing careers as well as those with young children. Please note that this role is based in a childcare center and does not follow the same compensation structure as nursing positions in clinical or hospital settings.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing the daily health and wellness of the children in our care.

Monitoring children's allergies, medications and immunization records.

Providing resources and support to families and staff- including new parents.

Keeping excellent records

Maintaining a clean and safe school environment.

Supporting school management team in the day-to-day operations of the school.

We are looking for candidates:

Who are well-versed in common infant and childhood health issues and illnesses.

Who are self-motivated and flexible.

Who have exceptional verbal and written communication as well as organizational skills.

Who enjoy collaborating and continuously improving the quality of care.

Qualifications:

Must pass the Applicant Background Study required by the Department of Human Services.

Must have documentation of U.S. Citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.

Must have an active LPN or RN license.

Must have daytime availability from the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.

Please note that this role is based in a childcare center and does not follow the same compensation structure as nursing positions in clinical or hospital settings. This position starts at $25.00-$27.00 and is based on experience and category of license.
