Minnesota, Minneapolis / st paul, 55401 Minneapolis / st paul USADescription We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accountant in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. As a Property Accountant, your role will be pivotal in managing a wide portfolio of properties and handling their complex accounting needs. Responsibilities: Handling the monthly financial documentation which includes HUD, MHFA, and other regulated properties. Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness of accounting and related system reports. Managing month-end closing procedures such as bank reconciliations, monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger analysis. Overseeing MHFA/HUD monthly reporting requirements. Drafting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for external parties. Assisting in the preparation of annual property budgets. Preparing semi-annual replacement reserve draw packages and surplus cash calculations. Preparing year-end property audit work papers. Taking on various ad-hoc projects as necessary. Requirements A minimum of one year of experience in a Property Accountant role or similar. Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems. Demonstrated experience with Accounting Functions. Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Familiarity with Accrual Accounting principles. Previous experience in Auditing is desirable. Proficiency in using RealPage software. Extensive experience in Property Accounting. Capabilities in performing Month End Close tasks. Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries.
