Sr. Financial Analyst
Minnesota, Minneapolis / st paul, 55401 Minneapolis / st paul USADescription There is an exciting short-term contract / temporary Senior Financial Analyst opportunity with one of our clients. Minneapolis, Minnesota will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. This role's duties include being our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. This Senior Financial Analyst consultant role will perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.What you get to do every day
Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary
Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results
Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads
Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting
Survey financial results, condense key trends, appraise current and future business risks, and relay critical updates to senior leadership in the course of normal preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting
Help create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes to be understood by all necessary teams
Manage advantageous relationships with Finance/Accounting leadership of integral business partners Requirements - Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Highly-accomplished in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Operations finance experience should include 7+ years
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
CPA or MBA preferred
BA/BS degree in Finance, Business or related field
Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management
Skilled at process reengineering and optimization
Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately
Variance analysis experience
Strong familiarity with budget forecasting
Financial analysis experience desired
Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint
