Accounting Clerk

Description Robert Half has an open position for an Accounting Clerk to work in the Construction/Contractor industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary position based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

Aid Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

Adeptness in Invoice Processing

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

Data entry experience

Background working with Sage Accounting Software

SAP experience highly preferred

Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

Account reconciliation experience desired

Earlier work involving Excel Formulas

Billing experience preferred

General familiarity with Oracle
