Employees are required to have flexibility to work any shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30am - 7:00pm PST OR 11:30am – 10:00pm EST, with the possibility of working Saturdays from 11:30am – 8:00pm EST OR 8:30am – 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:30am - 7:00pm PST OR 11:30am – 10:00pm EST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:

Inbound and outbound welcome calls to health plan members including administering a screening to identify any health issues.

Data entry of information into one or more computer systems.

Referrals of members to health plan programs based on defined criteria and triggers.

Ability to overcome objections to reduce member rate of declines for program engagement

Customer service skills to manage member complaints

Learn intricate workflows and be flexible with change

High School Diploma / GED and / OR equivalent work experience

3+ years of telephonic customer service experience

Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook

Sales, telephonic based customer service and / OR call center experience

Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 7:00pm PST OR 11:30am – 10:00pm EST, with the possibility of working Saturdays from 11:30am – 8:00pm EST OR 8:30am – 5:00pm PST

Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

Reside within PST OR MST

Experience with Auto Dialer technology (ie. OMNI)

Familiarity with HIPPA / PHI compliance including healthcare experience

Prior experience working with medical populations

Telecommuting Requirements:

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
