Associate Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently seeking an Associate Accountant for a Fortune 500 company in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. In this long-term contract Associate Accountant position, you will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Input data

Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts

Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes

Investigating and fixing account discrepancies

Make monthly journal entries

Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:-Associate's Degree in Accounting/Finance or 3+ years experience in general accounting, A/P or A/R, and/or entry level Associate positions ​

0-2 years of experience required with Bachelor's Degree

-Strong organizational and analytical skills​-Strong customer service skills ​-Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports-Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Accounting Standards Board regulations-Knowledge of financial terms and principles-Proficiency in ExcelIf you are interested in this role, apply as soon as possible!
