MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY$22/HR- $22.75/HRSTART IMMEDIATELYDescription:To clean, paste, and assemble all standard cores, and some pipe parts, etc., under available supervision, consistent with established and accepted standards of quality and quantity. Organizes copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., necessary to complete assigned assembly jobs and checks all available documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.) which is available. Prior to performing assembly operations, cleans pipe parts, etc., using hand tools as well as clean up all rough surfaces with mud, paste, etc., and blows with air hose to remove excess sand Performs assembly operations according to established close dimensional requirements using necessary fixtures. Inspects all copes, drags, pipe parts, cores, hand tools, etc., prior to cleaning and assembling and scraps materials which are damaged or unusable to minimize production delay and rework. Form and assemble cores around patterns and position in mold using hand tools and glue.
