Minnesota, Mankato, 56001 Mankato USAAll Job Postings will close at 12:01 a.m. CT on the specified Closing Date (if designated).Working Title:Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences Program Director (AA26030)Institution:Minnesota State University, MankatoClassification Title:State University FacultyBargaining Unit / Union:209: Inter Faculty OrganizationCity:MankatoFLSA:Job ExemptFull Time / Part Time:Full timeEmployment Condition:Unclassified - Unlimited AcademicSalary Range:$49,375.00 - $81,185.00Application Deadline: Review of applications will begin on January 8, 2025 and continue until the position is filled.Position: Tenure-Track (Probationary)Salary Type: Depends on qualificationsJob DescriptionThe successful applicant will oversee the Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS) Program (including Medical Lab Science, Cytotechnology, and Nuclear Medicine Technology) and will be responsible for teaching one of our introductory courses (Principles of Microbiol, General Biology I) and upper division courses for the CDS program such as BIOL 430 (Hematology and Intro to Immunology) and BIOL 380 (Blood Banking and Urinalysis)
A typical faculty workload responsibility may include up to twenty four (24) credits of instruction per academic year.
The successful candidate may need to teach in other areas as assigned and qualified.
May be expected to develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and on-line instruction at the Mankato campus, online, and/or at the university’s additional locations, as assigned.
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction and evaluation, conduct research productively and mentor students in research, help create innovative strategies for student recruitment, retention, and completion, and may be expected to develop external grant funding opportunities.
All faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly or creative activity or research, in continuing preparation and study, in contributing to student growth and development, and in providing service to the university and community (See Article 22 and Appendix G of the IFO Master Agreement).
This position will advise undergraduate majors.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to serve a diverse population and apply an equity lens to this position including social justice and/or anti-racism.
Master's degree and/or relevant tested experience in Microbiology, Immunology, Pathobiology, or related field.
Experience working in a clinical/medical setting or similar environment.
Preferred Qualification
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Demonstrated effective written, oral communication and/or presentation skills.
Demonstrated preparation to teach, advise, and support a wide variety of students.
College/university teaching experience in courses similar to those listed in the responsibilities (graduate teaching experience acceptable).
Experience advising and mentoring undergraduate students.
Demonstrated willingness to participate in accreditation, program review, and/or assessment processes.
Research, creative and/or scholarship interests that are compatible with Minnesota State Mankato.
Demonstrate potential for research, creativity or scholarly activity.
Have the potential to involve undergraduate student in research or scholarly activity.
Evidence of scholarly activity, including publications and/or professional presentations.
Currently hold certification in MLS (ASCP), CT (ASCP), or NM

The salary range denoted above is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
