Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper at our location in Troy, Michigan. The role is crucial to our professional services industry and involves full process accounts payable and receivable tasks, account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records using our General Ledger (GL) system and Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: Manage full process Accounts Payable tasks, including accurate and efficient processing of low volume invoices. Handle full process Accounts Receivable duties, including applying cash to GL systems and reconciling cash to GL. Maintain accurate and detailed financial records using our GL system and Microsoft Excel. Ensure credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently. Continuously monitor customer accounts and take necessary action as required. Balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations. Work independently and multi-task effectively, while also collaborating with the team as necessary. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and clients. Adapt quickly to our GL system and demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Account Reconciliation Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience in a law office setting Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
