Summary Assist the Design department and the Vice President of Design develop new home design concepts for our manufacturing facilities. Develop, coordinate and check floor plans as it relates to plant specifications. Organize product literature. Provide architectural support to the Vice President of Corporate Design by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates designs from rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from plants.

Uses computer assisted design (CAD) equipment and software to design layouts.

Drafts detailed construction drawings.

Manages assigned plants product requests with approval of VP.

Assist management of product offerings at a given plant based on sales during product reviews.

Assist development and introduction of national product series per specifications and designs.

Lays out, redesigns, and modifies home arrangement to improve the architecture of the home.

Proficient in AutoCAD a must.

Willingness to learn Chief Architect and possibly Revit in the future.

Individual must be self-motivated with this remote position and expected to perform according to position requirements and timely manner.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design from an accredited four-year college or technical school is required; Two to three years' proven experience in residential design as well as experience using the AutoCAD software. Must be familiar with U.S. residential & HUD building codes.

Travel

Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time annually.
