Applications Engineer

Description:The Application Engineer will have the responsibility to provide highly qualified application support for a customer in North America products and turnkey projects in-house and onsite at customers. Actively identify, promote and deliver opportunities for application engineering and training support. Assist and support the setup and management of CNC machines at customer sites, trade shows and within the company’s technical center. Work with the Sales group to provide product demonstrations of CNC equipment capabilities. Provide informal technical training to customers and employees on CNC product operations and programming capabilities.M-F 8am-5pm-Travel Requirements to up to 50%-Ability to work in office and follow machines out into the field-Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVE:-4+ Years Experience CNC Programming in Siemens or Fanuc 32i-Willing to travel up to 40%-Siemens NX or Mastercam knowledge (CAD/CAM); Used to determine toolpaths, tooling, Time studiesNICE TO HAVE:-Degree in relative engineering field-Experience with customer interfacing-Electromechanical Knowledge-PLC troubleshooting and Fanuc robot ExperienceExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
