This position will be full-time and remote.What You’ll Do
Evaluate SFTP Setup: Assess the implementation of the new SFTP system, ensuring it meets project and security requirements
Identify potential gaps or risks and provide solutions to optimize performance
Review the current data architecture, including how data is stored, transferred, and processed across agencies involved in the NJEASEL project
Evaluate existing reports, ensuring that they align with project goals and compliance requirements
Recommend improvements in reporting processes and methods of data visualization
Ensure data transferred through the SFTP system is accurate, secure, and complete. Implement data validation techniques and suggest ways to improve data quality
Work closely with other project team members, including data engineers, IT staff, and business analysts, to gather requirements and deliver insights
Prepare documentation on findings, assessments, and recommendations for optimizing the current data system
Provide actionable insights to enhance the overall efficiency of the NJEASEL data processes
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in data management, architecture, and reporting to ensure the project benefits from best practices
What You'll NeedRequired:
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in data analysis, utilizing tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and statistical programming languages like R or Python.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in data visualization, using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Python libraries such as matplotlib or seaborn.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in database management, with knowledge of systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in applying statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and regression analysis.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in programming, particularly in Python, R, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to ensure data quality.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in working with big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in managing data-related projects, including defining project scope, working with stakeholders, and delivering insights and reports.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in solving complex problems using data-driven approaches.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in understanding industry-specific data and analysis requirements.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired:
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in maintaining high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of data analysis.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in collaborating effectively in team settings with other data professionals, IT staff, and business units.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in obtaining professional certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or SAS Certified Data Scientist.
Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis.
Physical Demands
