Network Administrator

Description Robert Half is searching for a Network Administrator with experience and outstanding organizational skills to join a prominent company. To be successful in this role, you should have a can-do attitude and be an organized problem solver who is passionate about ensuring and maintaining a stable network infrastructure. You will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure to support the business. The software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems you will be working with are constantly changing. Your dedication to ongoing education is critical to staying current and fully informed. This permanent opportunity is for a Network Administrator who will work in the Holland, Michigan, area.What you get to do every day

Administering LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam control measures

Upgrading network software and hardware

Troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding local area networks / wide area network, including performance and connectivity problems

Controlling the operation of services related to all local area networks and wide area networks, while adhering to company policies and procedures Requirements - Understanding of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

Strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills

Foundational knowledge in Juniper Switches

Comprehensive knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls

Vmware Infrastructure experience

VLAN experience required

Proven knowledge of MS Windows Server 2012

Strong familiarity with Switch Configuration

3+ years related experience

Prior experience in production and on-call environments
