Description:Description: We are seeking multiple Construction Inspectors. The primary duties of this position will include inspection and documentation of MDOT construction and/or demolition projects as well as mentoring and leading more junior-level inspectors.Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Daily inspection of contractor’s operations on construction or demolition projects. Verifying conformance with construction plans and other contract documents. Generating detailed daily reports and other required documentation. Overseeing maintaining traffic operations/traffic control devices. Monitoring soil erosion and sedimentation control devices. Assisting project management staff with identifying problems and developing viable solutions. They will give these employees a company truck to drive to and from job sites to, so clean driving record is needed. They have offices in both Metro Detroit and Lansing area, and have MDOT projects and SE and Mid Michigan, so these positions can cover any of these areas. Projects could be in metro Detroit and/or Jackson/Lansing area, and also need 1-2 inspectors up north (Cheboygan/surrounding areas). They could hire 4 CIs total.
