Villa Bella, an independent retirement community designed to meet the needs of seniors who want to live independently, but also want to be part of a socially vibrant, active environment; is looking for part time Bus driver Monday - Friday 9:00-3:00.

The driver is responsible for safely transporting our residents to and from appointments, grocery shopping, errands and an occasional outing.

RESPONSIBILILTIES:

Transport residents to all scheduled events

Completes a safety check of the bus before transporting residents to and from scheduled events. Accurately keeps records, logs and resident attendance for all scheduled transportation.

Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.

Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Transports vehicle to service locations for routine preventive maintenance on vehicle as scheduled by supervisor.

Notifies supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions.

Immediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents.

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE A CDL A OR B WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT

Must possess a valid Driver’s license in applicable state.

Must have a good driving record and meet the company’s Driver Selection Policy standards.

Must be able to maintain an empathetic, courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents at all times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be also to sit in a vehicle for up to 6 hours per day; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch and squat to load and unload walkers and wheel chairs. Must have the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on vehicles according to schedule. Keep vehicles clean. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for handling resident groceries. May be exposed to the elements (rain, cold, heat) for short periods of time.
