We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.The Sustainability Measurement & Abatement Technology team builds technical solutions to track, record, and forecast Amazon's WW impact on the Environment (i.e., Carbon, Water, Waste, etc.). This includes calculating past and current impacts and future abatement plans, ensuring credibility through standards and validations, and highlighting non-obvious opportunities for Amazon’s global business teams.We are seeking a Software Dev Engineer.Key job responsibilities
Design and develop critical components of world class, scalable distributed systems.
Develop features and solutions that span the full software stack, UX, API, DB, ML modeling and Targeting.
Interface with our internal customers and technical leadership to inform and understand requirements and priorities.
Take on hard, ambiguous problems and articulate solutions that will serve the broader Amazon.
Help develop long-term technical strategies in the product supply chain space.

2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
