PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to use computers, software and other current technology.
Effective written and oral communication skills with children, families and other program staff including parent/family communications and program data reports.
Effective organizational skills.
Maintain professional atmosphere and demeanor in the classroom, acting at all times as a representative of Early Head Start and the St. Joseph County ISD.
Complete reports and other record keeping activities accurately and timely as prescribed by the program.
Attend and engage in continuous professional development.

Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a team, including co-teaching with an Associate Teacher and other staff to coordinate and plan curriculum and activities.
Actively supervise and monitor safety of children during all parts of the day.
Engage in activities with children at their physical level.
Create an overall supportive, nurturing, strength based, inclusive environment.
Maintain student and program confidentiality.
Implement High Scope and Conscious Discipline to fidelity.
Engage families in their child's education through events, conferences, home visits, volunteer opportunities and community resources.
Responsible for ensuring all classroom requirements are met.
Perform other duties as assigned by the St. Joseph County ISD Administration.
