CREW LEADER (RSD - Parks and Grounds) Lead and assist in the maintenance of grounds, parks and buildings. Perform related work as required. Essential Functions, Qualifications and KSA's for Employment The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations. Graduation from High School or G.E.D. Two years' experience in building and grounds maintenance. Knowledge of safety procedures/precautions involved in various public works projects and equipment operations. Skill in the operation of vehicles, mechanical and power equipment and tools. Ability to work and interact well with fellow employees. Ability to read and interpret written instruction, and maintenance and operating manuals. Leadership qualities including good attendance and work ethic. Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brakes Endorsement or a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must acquire State of Michigan pesticide certification, 3A, 3B and Right-of-Way, within 90-day probationary period. Knowledgeable in landscape plants, beds and turf. Work schedule to be as follows: April - September will be Tuesday - Saturday shift 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. October - March will be Monday - Friday shift 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Starting Salary: $25.86 - $28.86/hourly (depending on start date) Closing Date: Monday, January 6, 2025 Job description and application are available at: ypsitownship.org or in the HR Department at the Township Civic Center, 7200 S.
