Mold Maker

We are seeking a Mold Maker/Manufacturing Technician for an innovative manufacturing company in Leominster. This is a Direct Hire position. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The primary responsibilities will be to build, repair, and modify molds using CNC/manual machines while ensuring precision and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

- Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment

- Repair and modify existing molds using using CNC and manual machining equipment

- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for repair and evaluation

- Review and interpret drawings and models

- Operate lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other manual/CNC equipment

- Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges) to ensure tight tolerance machining and final fitting

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend improvements

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company and industry safety standards

- Perform other Tool Room-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Previous experience in mold making, repair, or modification required

- Strong mechanical and machining aptitude with attention to detail

- Proficient in both CNC and manual machining processes

- Skilled in machining software such as eDrawings, SymeTRON, and Mastercam preferred

- Solid understanding of mold components, tool steels, and high-precision fitting preferred

- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and work with tight tolerances

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate overhead lifting equipment

The pay range is $35-$45/hr depending on experience. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.
