You’ll find the resources here to achieve your career goals and help to develop products that make a meaningful impact every day, worldwide.Location/Division: Remote, Massachusetts, USA - Materials and Structural Analysis DivisionHow you will make an impact:As part of the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) IT Analytics Team, Data Analyst - IT will be responsible for the implementation of quantitative and qualitative analyses of Key Performance for different projects for a wide range of measures within a project to build (AIG) Datamart in AWS Data Lake within Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position will partner with multiple functions and layers within the organization. This role will be involved in projects and will interact in a fast-paced and highly visible business environment, finding opportunities to optimize manufacturing performance and efficiency through data analysis. The Data Analyst will drive and collect data pertaining to specific Operational metrics and transform that data into information by highlighting important or useful information on a given metric and make recommendations and support business decision-making by providing an informed opinion based on data.What you will do:

Work within a data lake to leverage data sets available to team to craft and leverage canned analytics.

Work in partnership with team and business partners to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information.

Support data logic changes and harmonization efforts to ensure consistency in reporting and dashboards.

Support business teams within AIG to capture requirements for business relevant metrics in AIG Data mart.

Work with divisional teams to understand the processes used to generate reports currently, supporting IT to automate these processes.

Develop in-depth understanding of data environment and leverage knowledge to build robust scalable solutions

Build Power BI dashboards working with multiple financial applications and file systems, including data models, reports, interactive visualizations.

How you will get here?EducationMinimum of a Bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education preferredExperience

5 years’ experience and proven ability and knowledge of SQL, AWS

Experience in Power BI, SSIS, AAS

Understanding of Dimensional modeling

Understanding of Agile development

Strong analysis skills

T-SQL and Power BI is a must

Knowledge of Data Lake technology is a plus

SSAS, SharePoint and PowerApps experience preferred

Knowledge of interoperability between different programming languages

Ability to multi-task and work with multi-functional teams in a very fast- paced environment

Eligible for a passport and able to travel
