Software Test Technician- Entry Level
Massachusetts, Lowell, 01850 Lowell USAJob Title: TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Technician to execute test orders for highly scalable enterprise applications based on a multi-tier architecture. This role involves deriving test cases from functional and non-functional requirements, defining test objectives and criteria, and developing software test cases and automated test sequences. The Technician will also be responsible for creating test schedules, supporting system integration, carrying out software and customer acceptance tests, and documenting test results.Responsibilities
Derive test cases from functional and non-functional requirements.
Define test objectives and criteria for test completion.
Develop software test cases and automated test sequences.
Create and manage test schedules.
Support system integration in test systems.
Conduct software testing and customer acceptance tests.
Analyze and document test results, and create test reports.
Work independently and within a team on project tasks.
Collaborate closely with other testers and software developers across locations.
Essential Skills
Solid IT knowledge based on a university degree or comparable professional training.
Practical experience as a tester in an agile project team.
Knowledge of agile project management methods, such as Scrum.
Experience in software testing, test case derivation, and automated testing.
Proficiency in creating project schedules, detailed project plans, and project scope statements.
Familiarity with formal contract and change order communications.
Ability to develop resource plans and cost estimates.
Competence in maintaining risk and issues logs, as well as status and exception reporting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
ISTQB Foundation and experience in load and performance testing is an advantage.
Knowledge of electromechanical devices and engineering.
Experience with automated testing tools and procedures.
Hardware integration experience.
Proficiency in Java, SAP, Windows, and Linux.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
