Experienced gardener needed for green roof maintenance help

Looking for help to maintain a some green roofs on Marthas Vineyard. Apex Green Roofs has been building green roofs for nearly 20 years and this could be the perfect opportunity for an interested gardener to learn about designing, building, and maintaining green roofs.

Candidates will be responsible for scheduling, documenting, and performing green roof maintenance. This role is for someone who can be self directed and deal with clients directly.

Each of our roofs receive between 4 and 8 visits per year. A typical maintenance visit consists of puling weeds, setting up timed irrigation during drought periods, spreading soil amendments as necessary, taking soil samples, and replanting damaged areas.

This role would be perfect for someone with an existing small gardening business and for the right person this role could expand to maintaining some of our other green roofs in the area as well.

Candidate should:

be comfortable with heights

willing and able to use a ladder

have a drivers license

be able to identify plants

be willing to plant and pull weeds for a full 8 hour day

be able to communicate and schedule visits with clients

be able to use Apex organizational filing system (google drive)
