This may include environmental and site contamination assessments and remediation projects for transportation, state and local government, industrial and commercial retail clients. The successful candidate will prepare proposals and manage environmental projects to client expectations from proposal through execution to invoicing and be able to effectively manage and mentor less experienced staff.What you can expect from APTIM :

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Managing client projects from proposal through execution and Invoicing.

Writing proposals and meeting with prospective and existing clients to help bring in new work to the Canton, MA office.

Prepare presentations for business development and industry trade shows / conferences.

Interaction and cooperation with the client and the client's staff, vendors, contractors.

Executing various work scopes and maintaining project schedules and budgetary goals.

Work independently or as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing site conditions.

Mentoring and training less experienced personnel and supervise contractors.

Interpretation/evaluation of scientific data.

Provide technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes that include conceptual design, site characterization, remediation design, procurement, and construction.

Manage, coordinate, and review Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and remedial actions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or other Science degree required.

10+ years of experience in the environmental assessment and remediation industry

3+ years of experience in project management and personnel management in the environmental assessment and remediation industry

Experience/knowledge working under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP CMR 40.0000)

Experience in conducting Phase I and Phase II due diligence assessments.

Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

Current HAZWOPER certification

Valid Driver's License

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

Have a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) and/or Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) Certifications

Experience managing projects for Commercial, Industrial, State and Local clients.

Experience working in New England states.

Experience managing environmental assessments, permitting, permit compliance, environmental due diligence, and remediation of contaminated sites.
