Job Description
LEAD RESEARCHER, POLICY IMPACTS, Economics, to conduct economic analysis on the welfare impacts of government policies. Will be part of Policy Impacts (https://policyimpacts.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Lead-Researcher-Job-DescriptionPolicy-Impacts-2024.pdf) , an organization co-founded by Professor Hendren that is dedicated to improving the quality of government decision-making by promoting standardization in policy analysis and will work closely with them and a range of collaborators at other universities along with a research team of pre-doctoral fellows based at MIT.Job RequirementsREQUIRED: PhD in economics, education, public policy, political science, computer science, or a related field; eight years of relevant experience; demonstrated track record of conducting microeconomic analysis and measuring the welfare impact of government policies using a public economic toolkit; and robust management, communication, and technical skills.
