DESIGN/SALES CONSULTANT

Bradford Floor & Home in Peabody, MA is looking to hire a Design Sales Consultant to join

With years of hands-on experience, their sales staff knows the right questions to ask to better help guide their customers through the process of selecting a new floor. The sales staff’s mission is to help make their client’s dream home a reality!

What We Offer:

Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 (based on experience) + Commission

Full Time: 5-day work week (Monday - Sunday)

Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding service to determine customer’s overall design needs

Build client relationships and ensure to follow up on all jobs to ensure customer satisfaction

and/or gain new project leads

Schedule appointments to meet with clients for showroom, home, or workplace consultations

Keep up to date on the wide selection of products and services provided

Gather space/area measurements, calculate number of materials needed for project, create and

present project proposals to clients for approval, provide any floor sample suggestions, and

ensure quality control for active projects

Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability, and sampling

requirements

Maintain showroom by keeping samples, displays and common areas neat, current, and clean

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven work experience in Retail Sales, Interior Design, Inside

Sales, or similar role

Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable form of transportation

Associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, business management, interior design, or a

similar field a plus

Basic computer/social media knowledge and math skills

Read floor plan drawings & create project estimates

Utilize various forms of communication to follow up with vendors/suppliers & clients

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, yet within a team setting

Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability

Strong personal and professional judgment

Ability to adapt and respond quickly to customers’ needs and wants

Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority

Ability to achieve sales goals effectively

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Advanced time management skills and detailed oriented

A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations

Knowledge of flooring & design industry a plus (Willing to train)

Knowledge of RFMS flooring software a plus (Willing to train)
