Our client, a research advisory company in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a temporary part-time Receptionist to join their team for 2+ months. This role will consist of a Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday schedule (3 days/week) between the hours of 7:00AM-6:00PM (must be flex to do either 7:00-4:00, 8:00-5:00, or 9:00-6:00). The position compensates $22/hr and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply today!ResponsibilitiesAnswer and appropriately route calls that come into the switchboard.Greet employees, visitors, clients, and vendors to the office.Monitor and control access gates in the lobby. Confirm employment before letting individuals through the gates.Maintain security logs with all visitors' and incoming employee information. Validate parking tickets and maintain log.Maintain neat and presentable lobby area, including coffee/tea/water station for clients, accessible client meeting rooms, lobby plants.Employee services: Monitor and support Corporate Services requests from submittal to close, promptly and with strong communication.Participate in shipping and mail services team responsibilities both incoming and outgoing.Vendor liason: Oversee vendor maintenance, upgrades, inventory, and procurement as needed.Office environment: Maintain a functional office environment, including conference room readiness, office supply cabinets stock, printer supply stock, and coffee equipment maintenance.Team support: Provide backup and/or support to Corporate Services team initiatives.QualificationsOne to two years office front desk and/or customer service experience (a plus).Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.Someone who can lift up to 50 lbs., as position will be required to move packages and arrange furniture.Excellent professional customer services skills, including writing and verbal communication.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
