Temporary Immigration Attorney - Boston
Massachusetts, Boston, 02108 Boston USAWe are currently seeking a temporary Business Immigration attorney for a 6+ month temporary assignment for our law firm client located in Boston's financial district. This is a great opportunity to work with a thriving Immigration group within a prominent law firm. Possible opportunity for hybrid, however on-site work is preferred.Qualifications: Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience in business immigration law, and/or immigration related clerkship; entry level candidates with business immigration experience will be considered Experience using immigration-focused database, including reviewing various reports for accuracy, and monitoring data compliance. Excellent docket and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Responsibilities: Review and file non-immigrant (L, H, TN, O, E-1/2/3, B-1/2, J-1, etc) and immigrant (PERM, I-130, EB-1 (all), I-140, I-485, N-400, etc) petitions and applications with government agencies and consulates under the direction of a supervising attorney. Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and supervising attorney on the day-to-day work of assigned cases. Stay current on business immigration law developments. Conduct research and draft alerts, publications, and blog posts. Participate in section training sessions and other firm and section related activities. Regularly review client-facing and internal reports to monitor case activity and new case initiations.
