Bar Mezzana, a Coastal Italian Restaurant in the South End’s Ink Block Neighborhood from Chef Colin Lynch is currently seeking a Chef de Cuisine. JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Chef de Cuisine (CDC), you will be responsible for acting in a manner befitting an employee of Bar Mezzana and will be expected to always represent our team in and out of the workplace. We are proud of the work we do here and want nothing more than you to be proud of yourself and your peers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day consistency of product and execution of all food. You will assist the managing partners in the day-to-day management of all BOH employees. Oversees the prep team, dish team, line cooks, and sous chefs. Reports to managing partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Ensure all quality, consistency of product

● Monthly inventories

● Work with Management team to meet or exceed all budgetary goals

● Organize all recipes, menu changes and private event menus

● Work with partners on all menu development

● Participate in active staff education

● Schedule all cooks and support teams

● Hold staff accountable for cleanliness and organization

● Communicate changes of menus to all necessary team members

● Ordering

● Invoice management and processing

● Participate in manager meetings

● Controlling costs and expenses

● Selecting compelling offerings for our guests

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

● Minimum 2 years experience in kitchen management

● 1 year experience in upscale or fine dining

● Serve Safe certified

● Choking and CPR certified
