General Manager, Night Shift Brewing at Lovejoy Wharf
Massachusetts, Boston, 02108 Boston USANight Shift Brewing Hospitality is looking for a dynamic hospitality professional to join our team as Lovejoy Wharf General Manager. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the GM leads by example and sets the tone and standards for excellence across the restaurant. With a passion for customer service, the successful candidate is constantly looking for ways to improve the guest experience at Lovejoy Wharf while ensuring the restaurant remains an inclusive, positive, and overall great place to work. The GM has a clear understanding of both company and location-specific goals and serves as a champion of these goals within the restaurant.
What You'll Do
Provide day-to-day leadership for all staff and business operations
Ensure responsive, exceptional guest satisfaction regularly
Communicate and embody the company vision, culture, and values within the restaurant
Work with hospitality, marketing and events team(s) to plan and execute private and public events
Grow and develop staff through timely feedback and development plans. Provide performance-based coaching and feedback as needed.
In conjunction with finance team, manage and approve all invoices and expenses related to Lovejoy Wharf operation
Partner with HR to own recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training front of house team members
Set proper staffing levels and weekly scheduling to meet high service level standards while maintaining staffing costs at an appropriate level
Other duties as assigned
What You Have
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate, Associates or Bachelors in business management or hospitality a strong plus
TIPS and/or ServSafe & Crowd Manager Certified
Minimum 5+ years hospitality experience required; minimum 2+ years of management experience required
Brewery experience a plus
Demonstrated experience in staff management through strong leadership and development
Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; this is not a Monday - Friday, 9 - 5 role!
Experience using data to make decisions is a strong plus
Ability to work with timesheet, word processing, and excel programs
This position requires the successful candidate to spend long hours on their feet and work in a standard restaurant environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, reach, crouch, and crawl with or without accommodation.
Compensation
As an employee of Night Shift Brewing, the General Manager will earn up to $95,000 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, generous paid time off, 401(k) participation, beer/merchandise credits, and more!
