Polish Prince Pierogi is a small family-owned Polish market in Billerica, MA that makes handcrafted pierogi, kielbasa and more. We make over 30 different types of pierogi, kielbasa, golabki (stuffed cabbage rolls), chrusciki (fried dough cookie), and condiments, (sauces, spice rub, fried shallots). All of our offerings incorporate the use of a combination of traditional family recipes, modern creations, French culinary techniques and high quality ingredients.

This is a hybrid role that involves food preparation in our kitchen and customers sales/service in our storefront. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in the kitchen environment as well as interacting with customers. This role would Monday through Friday from 10am - 6pm, but could offer some flexibility in the schedule.

The right candidate can be trained to become Sous Chef, with increased pay to reflect advanced responsibility

Duties

- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen

- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and execute transactions in the Point of Sale system

- Ensure food quality and presentation meets the highest standards

- Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations

- Assist with menu planning and recipe development

- Monitor and control food costs to maximize profitability

- Handle any customer concerns or complaints related to food quality or service

Requirements

- Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant , hotel, or production kitchen

- In-depth knowledge of food service management and kitchen operations

- Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

-Must be able to lift 50 pounds

-Knife skills are required

-Sausage making experience is helpful

-ServSafe certified or willing to obtain ServSafe certification with our sponsorship.
