As a candidate, we encourage you to have an open dialogue with a member of our HR Team and ask compensation related questions, including pay details for this role.Job Description:Department DescriptionTD Model Validation (MV) group is part of the Model Risk Management (MRM) group and is responsible for the independent validation and approval of analytical models used for across a large range of use cases (risk, capital evaluation, marketing, stress-testing etc.).Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be a member of the Non-Retail Model Validation group responsible for validating Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) stress-testing models used across the US and Canadian non-retail businesses. The position reports to the Head of Non-Retail Model Validation.Detailed accountability includes:

Manage the model validation team responsible for the validation of stress-testing models (focus on Pre-Provision Net Revenue) used for Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests (DFAST), Enterprise-Wide Stress-Testing (EWST) and Macro Stress-Testing (MST).

Ensure that all model validation deliverables (initial / ongoing validation, annual model review, and overlay review) are met timely in accordance with the Model Risk Management Policy requirements and stress-testing standards.

Present and defend model validation outcomes to model owners, model users, business units, auditors, and regulators.

Build and monitor capacity planning of the team and third-party vendors.

Lead discussions with the model owners, model developers and third-party vendors and provide subject-matter expertise where required.

Lead strategic initiatives to improve model lifecycle processes (e.g., model landscape rationalization, standardization of activities, process optimization and automation)

Stay current with regulatory expectations, industry trends and best practices in stress-testing and model risk management. Share knowledge with business partners and senior management.

Support on model governance topics as needed (model inventory system updates, monitoring review, procedures updates, external communication etc.)

Build and develop the stress-testing model validation team while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, continuous improvement and quality excellence

Job Requirements

6+ year experience in model validation and / or model development within the banking or financial services industry.

3+ year experience in the validation or development of stress-testing models with a focus on Pre-Provision Net Revenue models used in the US (e.g., CCAR/DFAST) and / or in Canada (MST and EWST).

Advanced degree in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics and / or Econometrics.

Excellent analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills, with ability to navigate under uncertainty.

Effective time management and multitasking skills.

Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, R, MATLAB and SAS.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and write comprehensive technical documents.

Strong leadership skills, including managing / leading teams with technical background, developing / coaching talent, giving constructive feedback and facilitating meetings.

Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with stakeholders of different backgrounds.to create impact.

Preferred

CFA / CAIA / FRM / PRM

Project Management certification is a plus.
