Kitchen & Bath Designer

Cummings Architecture + Interiors specializes in residential homes across eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. We are a dynamic and exciting boutique architecture and interior design firm located in downtown historic Ipswich right on the Ipswich River.

We are looking for an interior designer to join our growing Interior Design Department. This person would work on a variety of different smaller-scale projects, kitchens and baths, etc., while occasionally supporting the other designers in the department. The appropriate candidate will be sociable, outgoing, detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to work well in a group.

The ideal candidate will be:

Highly motivated and self-directed while being flexible and able to be in change of multiple projects and related tasks.

Organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent time management skills.

Able to work efficiently individually and with the team.

Background in high-end residential interior design, including specifying fixtures and interior finishes and decorative & soft finishes

Extensive experience in kitchen and bath design, especially cabinetry design.

Have strong presentation skills and be able to build relationships with clients and vendors alike.

Have a solid understanding and competency in the technical aspects of construction.

Have a knowledge of the latest design trends.

Computer aided drafting experience with programs such as AutoCAD or similar. The firm uses Vectorworks, so familiarity/proficiency in that program is a plus.

Experience with 3D Modeling, Photoshop, 20/20, Sketchup, and/or Renderings is a plus.
