This tole will also be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, obtaining monthly sales targets, managing budget and margin, and initiating and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing and potential customers in the assigned region. This is a People Leader role that manages a team of 9+ Field Sales Representatives. This is a remote-based opportunity but will require up to and including 50% travel in the field.Responsibilities: Supervise direct Field Sales Representatives, including but not limited to: in store visits with representatives, field territory development, sales planning, independent health food and key account management, accountability measures and follow up activities. Oversight and management of sales program implementations with focus on execution of quarterly promotions (e.g., RPP, promotions, demonstrations, co-op., etc.). Regional sales analysis to determine outpoints and opportunities, including but not limited to new product launches and increased penetration, as well as enforce accountability. Create, manage and achieve revenue and expense budgets for the Independent Health Food Channel; ensure the division operates within appropriate budget parameters to achieve expected results. Participate in the development of sales and marketing programs and materials as required to support revenue efforts; effectively interface with internal departments (e.g., marketing, finance, customer service) to ensure appropriate support of critical projects to satisfy customers' expectations. Recruit, interview, hire and train the highest caliber candidates; evaluate and redefine assigned accounts and territories; create and communicate sales incentives. Evaluate and follow up on weekly sales reports and hold monthly business review with all personnel. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct Manager.Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5+ years of work experience in a Sales role required. Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required. Account management and experience developing and delivering sales plans in a fast-paced environment required. Must have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, organizational and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships). Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on the needs of the team and the business. Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to analyze, develop and manage revenue and expense budgets. Ability to achieve revenue and profitably objectives on a sustainable basis. Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple brands and categories. Must be a dynamic leader who can push past obstacles and overcome objections. The ability to utilize creativity and push beyond the obvious, comfortable going into “unchartered” territory in setting out recommendations and goals. Must have a deep understanding of the assigned Customer and how to develop demand creation plans. Current or prior People Leadership managing direct reports a plus. Willing and able to travel up to 50% based on the needs of the team and the business.The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
