Preparing, monitoring and administering Center's operating and capital budgets. Monitoring revenues and expenditures and resolves variances. Establishing fee scale and monitors collection. Planning enrollment to meet income goals and ensure appropriate mix and balance of age groups.

Managing day‑to‑day operations of center. Managing and controlling enrollment according to established policies, developing systems and criteria to ensure proper balance of age groups. Arranging food service through Hospital's Department of Food and Nutrition.

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety requirements, and maintaining related records and documentation. Developing and implementing staffing levels and patterns to meet operations requirements.

Selecting, training, supervising and evaluating Child Care Center staff. Monitoring employee job performance. Providing orientation and in-service education programs to ensure staff are adequately trained to perform job duties.

Establishing and maintaining communications with parents. Interviewing and orienting new parents and provides current resources on age appropriate information, workshops and special events.

Referring and counseling parents with concerns regarding special needs, behavioral and/or developmental issues. Coordinating Parent Advisory Board, planning and attending monthly meetings.

Overseeing development and implementation of curriculum consistent with Center philosophy and standards.

Monitoring classroom functioning and environment and provides feedback and recommendations where necessary. Ensuring staff meet continuing education requirements.

Developing and maintaining relationships with teacher training facilities, other area child care centers and related organizations and institutions.

Managing hospital's "work and family" programs and initiatives. Overseeing implementation and evaluation of current programs, such as parenting seminars, breast-feeding programs and working parents support group, and proposes new programs. Managing the hospital's Child Care and Referral Service.

To qualify, you must have:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.

One year of post‑degree course work and/or an internship.

Five years of professional teaching experience with infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

One year of prior supervisory experience, including classroom leadership responsibility or professional administration experience in a child care center.

Ability to effectively manage the employees within assigned unit/department and to persuade and negotiate with peer level managers on issues and programs that impact assigned unit/department.

Effectively dealing with conflicting views or issues and mediating fair and workable solutions.

Certification, Registration, or Licensure Required:

Director II Level Certification through Department of Early Education and Care required.

First Aid/CPR Certified.
