Risk Analyst - Investment Compliance

Description We are in the banking industry, based in Boston, Massachusetts, and we are seeking a meticulous and proficient Risk Analyst - Investment Compliance. This role involves ensuring compliance of mutual funds and institutional accounts with regulatory restrictions, managing fund or client accounts, overseeing portfolio investment guideline monitoring, and handling special projects. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to regulatory restrictions for both US and non-US mutual funds and institutional accounts. Manage fund or client accounts in accordance with established objectives and policies. Oversee portfolio investment guideline monitoring, including pre-trade and post-trade alerts. Communicate effectively with relevant departments to resolve compliance issues. Conduct research to solve compliance issues and enhance compliance procedures. Handle governance activities to ensure up-to-date and accurately documented compliance files. Manage special projects as required. Handle and resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Skills: Proficiency in Accurint, ADP - Financial Services, Archer, Bloomberg Terminal, CobiT, About Time. Knowledge in AML - Anti Money Laundering, Auditing, Capital Management, Claim Administration. Familiarity with Investment Company, Investment Advisers Act, Investment Advisor, Federal Securities. Requirements Holds a minimum of three years of experience in a risk analysis or investment compliance role within the banking industry Demonstrated proficiency in Accurint, ADP - Financial Services, Archer, Bloomberg Terminal, CobiT, and About Time Has a solid understanding of AML - Anti Money Laundering, Auditing, Capital Management, Claim Administration Experience with Investment Company, Investment Advisers Act, Investment Advisor, Federal Securities Strong ability to interpret and apply compliance regulations related to investment banking Capable of identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks associated with investment banking operations Excellent communication skills to effectively present risk reports to management and stakeholders Holds a relevant degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with financial markets and investment strategies Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in reporting and record keeping Must be adaptable to rapidly changing regulatory environments within the banking industry.
