Why This Role is Important to Us:The Accounting Sr. Specialist II will be reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting and have a variety of responsibilities in areas such as month-end close, accounts reconciliation, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.Supervision Exercised: NoneWhat You'll Be Doing:

Prepare month-end journal entries with appropriate supporting documents.

Prepare month-end accruals to ensure that expenses are recognized in the appropriate period.

Reconcile all checking, savings, money market, and investment accounts.

Reconcile all intercompany accounts on the monthly basis.

Perform monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation and analysis.

Research and initiate adjustment entries so financial data is accurately reported.

Maintain prepaid and worker's compensation accounts.

Review of Capital-In-Progress accounts; setup new fixed assets additions in Great Plains.

Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger, analyze and record depreciation expense.

Prepare monthly PPE and intangible roll-forwards schedule for each entity.

Oversee all aspects of fixed assets audits.

Maintain Investment roll-forwards schedule of Commonwealth Care Alliance.

Oversee accounts receivable activities such as proper billings and apply payments.

Perform lease accounting and general ledger duties including reconciling assigned accounts on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis; creating journal entries to correct, reclassify, or record items; processing payments received from subtenants and landlord reimbursements; maintain lease schedule.

Assist on interim and annual audit procedures with external auditor.

Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic/Great Plains.

Understanding of accounting theory.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Ability to multi-task with good follow-through.

Self-motivated, great interpersonal and communication skills.

Organized, detailed, and able to prioritize and show flexibility when priority change.
