The Sr Director Technical and Performance for ESS will lead a team that provides technical and performance support to the ESS Business Unit in the USA. The team will work around 4 pillars that are key for the ESS transformation journey:Innovate:Identify potential businesses of the future - new technologies, new activities to be piloted, new processes to be developed, new offers, new partnerships - Contribute to transversal working groups on key topicsGrow:Support acquisitions and growth by providing technical expertise and undertake due diligence of targeted processes and sitesOptimize:Optimize and improve the performance of current activities where identified, support the diversification of activities on the existing sitesShare:Create and facilitate a network of ESS technical peopleBe active in the global BS&P and interzones community to be able to copy and adaptThe Sr Director T&P will actively participate in defining the long term strategy for ESS growth by bringing technical expertise and developing market/technology knowledge.Primary Duties/responsibilities: This role is responsible for leading a team to support the business with technical and operations performance expertise and project management skillsLead a team of engineers and experienced project managers to support the 4 T&P pillars: Innovate, Grow, Optimize, Share.Collaborate actively on the development and execution of the business unit growth and transformation plan by providing technical expertise and undertake due diligence of targeted processes and sites.Optimize and improve the performance of current activities to work on problem resolution, resolve conflicting priorities and to meet assignment deadlines within a collaborative environment.Collaborate with Corporate T&P to ensure local alignment on global directives.Drive and prioritize projects according to the business needs to ensure on schedule completion within budget.Optimize and improve the performance of current activities where identified, support the diversification of activities on the existing sitesBuild a technical community within the business unit to ensure that technical and performance standards and KPI’s are uniformly applied across the business unit and enable knowledge exchange and employee’s development.Identify potential businesses of the future - innovations, new activities to be piloted, new processes to be developed, new offers and use these opportunities to foster an innovation mindset in collaboration with the innovation teamDemonstrate effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.Understanding of QA/QC procedures, Safety, Environmental and Process / Operations Management for the Environment Services P&L’s.Work with technical organizations – either on committees or as an officer.Be active in the global BS&P and interzones community to be able to copy and adaptPrepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications, instructional presentations, and reports.
