Attorney/Lawyer

Description Calling all attorneys! We have a fantastic temporary opening with a well-known local leader in the consumer goods/food industry. The successful candidate will join their legal department to provide crucial support in the area of commercial contracts, specifically focusing on the food industry. This individual will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and redlining supply contracts, with a strong emphasis on ensuring compliance and resolving contractual disputes.Major responsibilities

Review and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Provide counsel on previously brokered agreements, addressing issues such as supply shortages or non-compliance with contractual obligations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve contract-related disputes and mitigate legal risks.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in in-house legal roles, with a focus on commercial transactions and contract law.

Bar license from any state, in good standing.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, once familiarized with internal processes and departmental expectations.

Experience in the food industry or consumer product goods (CPG) sector is highly desirable
