As an Aircraft Inspector III, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Perform assigned inspection functions in accordance with Repair Station and manufacturer’s inspection procedures to ensure that articles are maintained to the prescribed standards of airworthiness and serviceability for all scheduled operations.

To ensure the facilities, equipment, materials, and data meet the applicable requirements of the certificate and ratings the repair station holds.

Be proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected.

Ensure that all inspections are performed as required of all scheduled maintenance, article modifications, or component changes to ensure that approved equipment and materials are being utilized and high standards of workmanship are being attained.

Ensure that all required tests and checks are performed and documented prior to returning the article to service.

Review the article maintenance records, list all pilot reports and deferred maintenance items, record all discrepancies found per Repair Station procedures.

Monitor all article inspection record forms which are utilized in article checks to ensure proper completion of all entries.

Perform preliminary inspection, in-process, and final inspections

Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements and process requirements per FAA, PMA, DCMA, and AS9100.

Must-haves:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification

Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts

Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures

Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred:

Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1

Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.

Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
