Detrick, MD.

The Systems Administrator will support and manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers supporting the USAMMDA's operations. The System Administrator will ensure the proper maintenance, security, performance, and operation of SharePoint, MS SQL databases, and Web servers operating Windows or LINUX in a physical or virtual (VMware) environment. Will perform under general direction and use current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of government information assets.At Link Solutions, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement and growth.Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshootnetwork connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.

Backup data and key equipment configurations, deploy patches as directed by the program management office, and perform Active Directory Administration.

Ensure proper configuration of servers, virtual servers, storage solutions, computers, and software necessary for the successful operation in baseline compliance requirements.

Determine hardware, software, and system functionality, test and modify workstationsand programs based on user. specifications. Many of the systems are unique, one of a kind, and are constantly evolving to meet mission needs.

Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.

Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.

Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.

Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.

Manage trouble tickets using the Remedy Ticketing application.

Assisting in project planning and deployments.

US Citizen

Active T3security clearance (or higher)

IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CEequivalent or higher)

Experiencewith a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.

PowerShell scripting experience.

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers experience.

Preferred:

A bachelor'sdegree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) serversSecurity Center and scannersexperience.

Knowledge ofMicrosoft Server 2012r2 and 2016 servers.

Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
