Deploy, sustain and troubleshoot new or existing server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware.
Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of infrastructure platforms.
Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and maintain security posture of infrastructure systems.
Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure platforms.
Focal point for the installation and configuration of hardware and application software on system servers and personal computers associated with assigned systems.
Perform daily system backups, performance monitoring, capability analysis, and maintain security posture of systems.
Ability to deploy and sustain existing or new servers, to include the update/upgrade of system software releases and hardware changes.
Maintain and manage security posture of assigned systems by performing security vulnerability patching in accordance with local regulations and policies.
Create, facilitate, and manage user accounts access and privileges for assigned systems.
Develops guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), bulletins and flyers regarding the operation/use of assigned systems and services.
Provide advice and guidance for IT related issues, to include briefings to leaders and other staff with identified potential solutions.
Ability to generate reports when providing information and metrics in relation to organization requirements or compliance.
Responsible for mandatory and/or regulatory personal training and maintain required IT certification.
Analyzes system operations to identify inefficiencies and takes action to resolve problems and ensure optimal performance and consistency by developing processes that streamline and correct identified deficiencies.
Expertise in problem-solving skills to providing technical support services, such as software and hardware installation, configuration and ability to troubleshoot and investigate issues in a timely manner.
Ability to develop and establish policies and procedures for the management of systems accordance with applicable local regulations and policies.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Perform independent thinking and difficult tasks.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
