The Executive Director has the overall responsibility to drive our mission, guide our organization's strategy and growth, and foster a culture of excellence. The Executive Director has ultimate P&L ownership and is accountable for strategy, sales and marketing, client account management, operations, and colleagues.Key Responsibilities

Strategy - Apply entrepreneurial passion to energize the organization’s growth. Scale what’s already been built into a much larger enterprise. Establish the overall strategic vision and objectives to achieve it. Operate as the “face of the organization” to the federal government industry.

Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with federal government agencies, stakeholders, and industry partners. Understand their unique challenges and devise/deliver innovative strategic solutions to help federal government agencies achieve their goals. Continuously refine, test, and validate the value proposition, innovation, and quality of service.

Growth - Develop and implement strategies to expand the federal government client base, revenue, and market presence. Expand services to, and increase revenues from, existing clients. Influence buyers to drive strategic growth plans. Oversee sales, marketing, and business development functions.

Industry expertise - Apply federal government industry expertise across all aspects of procurement, contracting, and financial processes. Ensure compliance with all federal regulations and ethical standards.

Leadership - Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing executive team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence among the team. Oversee SGS’s financial performance, budgets, resource allocation, and operations. Act as leadership contact for support teams in Finance, IT, HR, and Legal and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; or an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.

15+ years of proven experience in a senior leadership role within a federal government vendor company or similar organization that serves primarily federal government customers, or a federal government agency itself.

Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and achieve financial targets.

Deep knowledge of the federal government industry, regulations, and procurement processes.

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to engage with government agencies, partners, and employees.

A strong commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and compliance.

US Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain confidential-level security clearance(s) as required.
