Steam Fitter

The Steam Fitter installs, assembles, repairs, and maintains piping systems that carry high-pressure gases, liquids, and steam at the CMI customer site in Beltsville, MD.Key Job FunctionsFabricate and assemble piping systems using various joining methods, such as brazing, soldering, threading, and welding.Install and repair heavy mechanical components like boilers, valves, pumps, compressors, and regulators.Analyze technical drawings and schematics to plan layouts, determine material costs, and build according to exact engineering specifications.Conduct pressure and leak testing on pipes to ensure they can withstand high-stress environments and meet safety codes.Performs other steam fitter related duties as required
