Flex Forming Operator - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Flex Forming Operator - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $23.50 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Primary Functions:

Operate shear, roller, planishing machine to make slugs/cuffs.

Operate hydraulic C-frame presses and/or Hydroforming equipment

Polishing parts to specifications.

Ability to safely perform testing of components using high pressure air or water.

Read and interpret blueprints and in accordance with standard shop practices.

Ensure quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement using a wide variety of hand tools and gages.

Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.

Keeps immediate work area clean and free from hazards.

Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification.

Participate in continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications:Basic Qualification:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualification:

Previous CNC machine or manual lathe experience to perform a sequence of operations such as carbon boring, knurling, and fitting for a variety of metal components

Skills:Position Criteria:

Understanding of advanced shop math and use of precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and depth gauges

Basic understanding of blueprint drawings and ability to follow detailed written instructions

Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat.

Position requires wearing PPE including apron, safety glasses, and hearing protection

Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis.

Ability to stand 8 hours a day
