Director's job description
As the Director, your job is to oversees the total educational program of the center and you are directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center and office office.
You as Director are to assure that all programs are designed and implemented through a Christ centered, biblical worldview. All planned and implemented programs are to be consultation with and evaluated by the CEO and the Board of Directors.
You as the Director are ultimately responsible for overseeing that the instruction is consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals, objectives the belief of our Ministries and its Christ-centered worldview. The Director directly reports to the CEO who will direct all concerns or request to the Board. The Board will have the responsibility to reviews the Director’s performance annually.
Specifically, the Director’s responsibilities are as listed:
As Director, you will hire, supervises, and terminates all teachers, Aids and support staff. You will consult with the CEO before finial decision to terminate are made.
As Director, you will work consistently toward improving the quality of instruction within the Center by fostering the professional growth of the teachers and staff. You will contact Abeka, The Associate of Christian school International, and Maryland office of childcare to inquire about their schedules on dates and time of all conferences and workshops. As Director, you will be required of your staff also mandatory in-house workshops, continual education and weekly meetings.
You will ensure that all academic records, health records and students records are maintained and are up dated yearly or as needed.
As Director, you are to develop and implement a strong student recruitment program to attract new students to your Center.
As the Director, you will connect with the company’s rick management team through payroll HR department. You will utilize this service to establish procedures and implement rules that can be put into place that ensure the safety of all students, personnel and guest while on center property.
You will also prepare and presents recommendations for the annual operations budget to the CEO/Board.
Provides for the scheduling and supervision of all student activities.
Maintains and enforces a non-discrimination in all activities.
Coordinates responsibilities and duties of all staff.
Develops the Center calendar.
Recommends staff salary schedules to the CEO/ Board.
Oversees teacher certification.
Serves as liaison with parent, student and organizations as needed. Provides inspirational leadership and visibility at school and community events.
Establishes and administers personnel policies for Teachers and staff.
Prepares of all necessary reports.
Participates with the CEO /Board and its advisory activities.
Appoints moderators for the curricular and co-curricular activities and ensures compliance with the center's mission.
Hired an Administrate Assistant.
Evaluates the performance of the Administrate Assistant, teachers and staff.
Designs and implements a just process of teacher supervision and evaluation.
Directs and implements policies for the retention, promotion, graduation, suspension and dismissal of students. Consults with the CEO/ Board on student dismissals.
Establishes a periodic review of school regulations, compliance and enforcement
As the Director, your duties will include Budget Planning and Budgetary Controls. You will be in charge of Conflict Management. You will Communicate the vision, goals and direction of our Center to teachers, staff, parents, community and the Board.
Skills that are required or you must obtain to do your job
Possess the knowledge of Google Classroom and G-suit.

Essential Functions
Our Director must implements Christian education and a Christian worldview. Promote youth ministry within the center and the community it serves, ensuring that the center maintains a Christ centered identity. The Director also provides instructional leadership that attracts and retains excellent teachers and staff, ensuring that academic goals of the center are achieved. Obtain and maintains the center's accreditation. Provides opportunities for the spiritual and intellectual growth of the students and staff. It is important that our final candidate be fully supportive of ministry, mission work, models and demonstrate an active prayer life and growth in his or her walk with Christ; participants in regular church attendance, and is able to introduce and integrates Christ-centered community activities to promote and enrich the center’s culture as appropriate.
Additional Skills and requirements
Our Center Director must have 3 or more years’ experience as a full-time Child-care center Director.
Must have successfully operated/ managed and maintained a full-time child-care center program
Must be familiar with all state regulations for students, staff and center.
Must be familiar with Maryland Excel, Credentialing, Scholarship Maryland Accreditation program.
Must possess a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood education
Must possess a Maryland Director’s Certification, and able to pass all back ground checks
Must have all Maryland Office of child Care required childcare Certifications; including first Aid and CPR
Must have 45- & 90-hours Certifications for (Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and School Age)
Must have a valid driver license
Must be goal oriented, reliable, motivated, organized and a self-starter,
Must possess Leadership qualities and skills, be consistent, flexible able to manage and lead others
Must love working with children and educating young minds,
Must believe in our values and biblical worldviews
