LIVE IN ASSISTED LIVING CAREGIVER
Maryland, Annapolis, 21401 Annapolis USAWe’re looking for caring, patient, energetic, detail-oriented exceptional LIVE IN caregivers who have a passion for helping older adults FOR WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND SHIFT IN THE GLEN BURNIE AREA.
As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to clients in our assisted living facility. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with daily living activities, ensuring resident rights are upheld, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals or Manager as needed.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
Assist with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.
Support clients in their care needs, facilitating access to resources and services.
Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
Treat clients with respect and dignity, and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and confidential health information.
Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and promoting independence in daily activities.
Document services provided in daily report tracker and submit reports weekly.
Skills
Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy for client dignity.
Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and patient observation techniques.
Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred or be willing to get Certification after Two Weeks of employment.
Experience or training in social work or hospice care is a plus.
Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing or lifting clients safely and assist with mobility challenges.
Familiarity with assisted living settings and their specific care requirements is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Transportation, Errands / Shopping may be needed.
